Are You Ready to Get Out of Debt?
If you are sick and tired of struggling to get by; frustrated from living paycheck-to-paycheck; and you’re ready to get out of debt – to go from drowning in debt to thriving in abundance, then read on…
A couple years ago, I realized that I was dying a slow and painful death. I was drowning – well, sort of…
I wasn’t in the ocean or in a pool. Nor was there an intruder in my home, ruthlessly holding me under water in the bathtub as I thrashed for my freedom. Instead, I was drowning without being in water at all.
I was being sucked under the raging current of my financial mess, and I desperately wanted to get out of debt.
Each day I’d wake-up feeling exhausted after a sleepless night of worrying about my bills and lack of resources to pay them. The stress was so overwhelming that getting myself up and out of bed became an unbearable struggle.
I no sooner got started with my day when my financial tsunami would hit me with full force. Phone calls from creditors and collection agencies, a mailbox full of collection notices, and big scary looking men knocking at my door to serve me with the latest legal notification.
And when I tell you it was a mess, I’m not kidding. I buried myself under a pile of financial crap.
Sure I had the stacks of bills from credit card companies and collection agencies, but that was just a small fraction of my financial mess.
I had made some mistakes managing my business finances, and the result was a monster bill with the IRS (and several tax liens to go along with it).
But that’s not all…
To make matters even worse, the company I was affiliated with (and busted my butt to help build) had been dying its own slow and painful death for about seven years. The owners reached a point where they threw in the towel, and “ceased operations” one Monday morning in June without telling anyone. (I found out from a notice that was posted on their website!)
That meant that I wouldn’t be receiving the $6,000 in commissions from the previous month—commissions I had already spent.
Now, with absolutely no income, my financial disaster went from bad to worse. Eventually, my house went into foreclosure and my vehicle was repossessed. I found myself one big toe away from living in a box under the freeway bridge, and I was scared to death.
I ignored my situation for a long time, but when I added it all up, I got really scared.
My debts totaled $193,227.63, and the total was growing daily.
I was exhausted both physically and mentally from all the financial stress, and I realized that the way I was living, wasn’t really living at all.
I made the decision — that day — that if I wanted to live the life I always dreamed about, I had to figure out how to take control and dig myself out of this financial mess…I had to figure out how to get out of debt…once and for all.
I’m not a financial planner or an accountant. For that matter, I have no connection to the financial industry.
Instead, I’m a person who made nearly every financial mistake possible in my life.
That day, I went searching for information. I was anxious to get out from under the stress and out from under my financial mess.
I got my hands on books from all the financial experts – Suze Orman, David Bach, Jean Chatzky, Robert Kiyosaki, Ric Edelman, Dave Ramsey, and many more. I learned some great ideas from reading their books.
But something was still missing for me…
That’s when I decided that I had to figure it out for myself. My big financial mess was literally killing me. It was sucking the life out of me every moment of every day. I felt I was in a “do or die” situation, and I had to do something about it.
So I figured out the secrets that changed my financial life forever.
I figured out what was missing for me in all of the books from the experts.
I figured out the key to changing my finances forever.
I learned how to go from struggling to make ends meet, living from paycheck to paycheck, to a life of financial freedom.
Now I look back at those days of continually worrying about my finances, or checking the balance available on my debit card several times a day, or scraping together five bucks to put a couple gallons of gas in my tank – and I can’t believe I was ever in such a pickle.
I want you to be able to stop worrying and start living…so I’m sharing everything I learned in my book,”Debt Really Really Sucks:How to Bail Yourself Out of a Financial Mess and Take Control of Your Finances.”
